God's word.

  • Apr. 1st, 2009 at 12:49 AM

Matthew 6:33-34
33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

thank you God!

i lost my phone.

  • Mar. 26th, 2009 at 12:28 AM

well, i only relised this when i was on the bus just after daryl alighted,

i had a few choices:
1) Rush down at the next stop and run to daryl for help.
2) Keep searching and hope that it is inside.
3) Look around the bus for my phone.
4) Pray and hope that the phone is with daryl.

Well and the answer is...... (4), hehe

yes i was comforted by God's grace however when i reached home i realised it wasnt with daryl how sad T.T

seriously i dunno what to say am i sad? or glad? i guess i will just be mad?! HAHAHA

Good times, praise God
Bad times, Thank God (:

Therefore i shall thank Him that i depended on Him and not on myself. And contine praying. (:

Are you BEING? or DOING?

Something worth investing in. actually i didnt sign up for the conference but somehow i felt that it will be a conference that i will open up my eyes too, and it actually did.

It was a wonderfully conference that was done up by Hock Teck and it  was the 1st ever children's ministry conference which is called Ripple conference. For those who are wondering, WHY? Ripple?!  It is because a ripple starts from something small like a child and a ripple in a lake will create much more ripples or waves and thus affecting the entire lake. An inspiration from Hock Teck led to this name. *amazed!* :)

This conference really helped me to see how children's ministry is sooooo sooo soooo important. Not just that children are the future of tml, not just that they are cute and fun to be with.
But it is about helping the child to overcome challenges and picking them up in trouble times because everyone since a child we might have bad expirence that had lead to something worst, shared by Hock Teck.
Which i felt it is soo true to help them when they are young, somethings cant be avoided but it can be corrected.

Well one thing that i want to take back and apply it into my life was the teaching where Hock Teck shared about BEING and DOING ministry.
Being the ministry is sooo different from Doing the ministry and it  can be told from our spirit and our heart when we serve God, serve God's people, overcoming troubles and challenges in the ministry. And we have always need to remind ourselves of who we are serving, Man? or God? MAN?! or GOD?!
Once we got the answer, BEING the ministry will change our mindset of the whole way we serve. and i think i need that. :DD

GOD!!!!

This is the season to be JOLLY!

  • Dec. 27th, 2008 at 1:00 AM

Once again it is christmas, and  if i am not wrong this will be my 5th christmas.
Amazing!
God never fails to remind me of the time i came to know him and from where i was last time to where i am now.
You are so wonderful! ^^

The Christmas service at The Rock was great, though I was late because i forgot the place, i didnt miss the drama. (once was part of it, now watching it.^^) Many came to know God in the Christmas again. Thank God!

After that we had NE christmas party Heidi's house. Though we only had a limited amount of time to prepare for the party but it was still really good. Deco team came up with some stuff ( but i didnt take photos with it), Drama was the hit point and i think everyone did enjoy it. YEAH!

For carolling we carolled for 5 houses however suddenly we went to far and got lost. sob sob. With the Grace of God and Alvin's Ns spirit we managed to get back to the condo. HAHA. After that a night at liehao's however all were dead tired after prata. :P

Anyways just returned from my old blog, decided to pop by after one year. Shocked on how 1 year so many things had changed.
However i always come to conclude that the earth is changing, people are changing but  God doesn't change.

Back from HEROES!

  • Dec. 18th, 2008 at 11:39 PM

HEROES camp was great, i think this was the best camps i ever had in 4 years. (BTW today is my spiritual bday :P)
I think it was because of certain changes in my life that occur that helped me and God really did a work in my life in his own unique way.

No.1) Moses was humble, he realised his weakess and faced them. That is a Hero that i want to be. And being humble to be a friend of God (FOG) as how it is said in Exo 33:11. This really just pokes my heart to ponder over many things in my life. As guys we do really get prideful in serving but we must always know that we are doing it for God. Only for the audience of ONE!

No.2) Comfort zone to Combat zone. WHAOOO once PS Jeff spoke this it really strike my mind that this situation always happens and you need Faith to keep u going. All about trusting in God. TRUST! . Remembering Freedy's "word" for me during Oasis. I really saw it happening in my life. If i can remember it was about a boat in a storm and the boat is anchored on the sea bed which is God's word. This was really significane in this stage of my life, and i want to apply this within my cg as well.

No.3) I felt that God also gave me a direction for my life, which i really wanted on the 3rd night. I was praying for God to send me a comfirmation or a word for my direction. BINGO! Shirley asked us to pray for one gift that you want to expand, and Torchie's word for the church arts and media. HAT TRICK! thats when i wen to talk to Freeds. Then i was asked to expand on it and acting it out, which is true because faith without action is dead.

Pics will be up another day. (:

Just one day away

  • Dec. 12th, 2008 at 12:48 AM

Just one day away...

so many things can happen in one day,
Having at least 12 hours (provided you wake up in the morning),
You could be having the most boring of boring lesson?,
Working?,
Slacking your life away?.

But i think i will choose for something better in, which is................

If only

  • Nov. 19th, 2008 at 11:41 PM

guess that the "if only(s)" came back (: but i dont like them T.T

Shall declare that Romans 5: 3-5 as personal verse in my life. hehe.

midst of the storms.

  • Nov. 2nd, 2008 at 11:10 PM

Life is never a bed of roses nor a gentle stream neither life with Jesus. However it is our respond in the tough times that mould us.

After that chat with Ps Shirley, with her inspiring life stories. Ofcoz i did learn besides that i realise that everyone has to go through tough times to reach to where they can be or where God wants us to be. It gave me a sense of relief and encouragement on how did Shirley when through it. ^^ amazed o.O

Well is guess that this verse Romans 5: 3-5 never fails to brighten up someone in tough times.

Thank you Lord. (:

3) Guess who (:
Photobucket

After going for hopekids for almost a month besides the waking up early to travel to town early in the morning. IT IS WORTH IT! in the kids minisry for me i learnt quite a few things here and there that really reminds me that whatever we are doing does impact the world. Soon these kids will be going to youth service, youth to tertiary, so & so. Meaning that if God place us in a whatever minisrty we must do our best in it because it really does impact "the world".

troubles troubless!!

  • Sep. 23rd, 2008 at 10:08 PM

Man........

1) After the sermon on saturday that Ps Jeff preached i guess that even though my poly life is different from my secondary school life, i still must excel in my studies. After seeing my sem 1 GPA, i really need to buck up if i want to glorify God in my studies. Must'nt slacker not more, need to be more participative.

2) I am spending WAY TOO MUCH!!! arghh... really got to control my spendings this time round,on Saturady i spent at least $40, i spent also $30 in lowering my bass action( but i think that is worth it) hehe...  (:  GOSH! that is like $70 off my allowence + daily expenses, i am such a dumbdumb!! if i am unable to handle the amount i have now, next time how am i going to handle much more! OH MY!! this saying really strikes me time and time again that i am privillaged to handle certain things now. because in turn it will benefit the future.

This all sums up that i have to depend on God even even more in my life.
Trusting in Him, Praying to Him and Giving my best for Him.

Kuching Trip.

  • Sep. 8th, 2008 at 12:26 AM

Now before i sleep and forget about blogging about the Kuching trip, let me blog it now.

This trip was my first ever missions after waiting so long and i am glad that i am able to go for it even though it is my last week of school, and i Thank God that i am able to end my school holiday even MORE fruitful. muhahaha.

It all started on 28/8 when at night we stayed over at zyann's hse so that we will not be late the next day. During the night we stayed up and talked some stuff about the missions whereas i had to plan out praise songs with Xanthe, thankfully no worship was need, as we didnt know wad to expect.

Around 2am we made our want to prata house, the central peeps were amazed how nice it was. (: guess that they didnt been there before hehe. At 4am the private cab came to fetch us to the Johor Airport, i was a squeeeeezzze ride.

When we reached and checked in,

Photobucket
Hehe. guess whats going on. (6am)

Photobucket
PLANES!

Well didnt capture any shots in the airplane as i was too tired to take any. (:
When we reach Kuching Airport, One of your Hope Kuching Sister, PP or Pauline. Fetched us with the church van to put our bags at another sister's house, Chan Ting, her house was BIG!.

Then we went for lunch and then went to an international school to join their International Christian Fellowship. (Sorry i dont have pics for this, but i think the other mission peeps have them)
I shall tell u how i felt then (: We expected a small group sitting in a circle however i was a very big group of 25 sitting on chairs in a circle. WOW. We started of with introduction and a praise led by Xanthe, i think that i atomosphere was good at first but when it went down to the short sharing by Daniel, they slowly started to switch off, and i was so burden for them. After that they were suppose to end high with games, out of desperate burden i led the Fire, Hunter, Earthquake game, i guess they enjoyed it with all their smiles. We were like Big Brothers and Sisters to them, i was like really missions. My heart was so open to them when we chatted with them after the "CG".

After that went for a dinner with the Student Group Leaders, then went for their prayer meet.
Photobucket

Photobucket

We really felt like "home" during the prayer meet. All p&w the same God with same vision.
At night, we talked some stuff about ministry with Chang Ting, it was a fruitful talk with her. (:
Thanks alot for your time.

Day 2
Photobucket

This is the place where we slept, the floor is cosy (: the sofa too.

We went for breakfast at a very nice place. yummy!!
Photobucket
Thank God for the FOOD (:

After breakfast we also had lunch with the Indonesian Group leaders, i was a fruitful time however i do not have any pics with me. :P

Around 3pm we went for their...

This is statement is all over Malaysia's Hope churches. (:

Then at night was a time of fun and fellowship as we invited some of the student to the ministry house to fellowship and get to know each other.

Day 3

Sleepyheads dragged their feets and wash their faces to realize that we were late for a 3 Hour bus ride to Hope Sri Aman, and a 1 Hour van ride to the river PLUS a 30min boat ride + 1 hour waiting time to and fro.

We slept on the bus ride plus there were unglam pics taken hehe. but they are not with me. ):

DINNER TIME!!!
Photobucket

Photobucket
We all sat in a circle and ate together. i sat beside this 2 young boys but i didnt speak their language so sad and i could not communicate with them. But the food was wonderful, the fresh fish and mutton! Ming xuan really really love the potato and mutton. haha.

After that was P&W and Teachings, they sang in their own language however there were lyrics. The teachings were also in their own language, and had to be translated 2 times to english. Even said so, We know that it is still God and i was such an eye opener in my life.

Slept in the kampong and i crawled into my sleeping bag to avoid the bugs. Morning Mingxuan, David, Ido and i when to the river to wash up. haha such fun.

Day 4
Took the long way back to the ministry house, where Yenli, Xanthe, Daniel and I went to the Youth Leader's Service evaluation meeting for dinner and attend their meeting. It was soo similar to Singapore's meeting, enjoyed the meeting very very much with all the laughter about some of  their BAD HABITS :P and crazy acts.

In the ministry house, the night was still young, after sharing of heart thoughts about the mission. we slacked, played cards, write cards and some slept. Ming xuan wanted to play cards and forced Yenli to play haha. Sathaya and I were like half asleep and gave in to dreamland.

 Day 5

Early in the morning we when to the airport, fetched by PP and Chang Ting, to our surprise Johnson and the others were there. so glad that they could send us off.

Photobucket

Final pic before moving out. ( with johnson)

Then home sweet home... (:

Changes in LIFE

  • Aug. 25th, 2008 at 10:27 PM

Just happened to rmb that that there was Godtube thus decided to surf the most viewed section and

guess what i found. This guy he rewrote Rihana's Umbrella song to a Chris remix. interestingly cool.
Watch it to HEAR it. (Sorry had trouble with the link therefore it is not here.)

Anyway just some update to my life, recently there were some changes in the group structure and i

had to take in 2 more sheeps. And they are younger believers, that meets in need to go back to the basics. However i see the joy in taking care of them as i am stretched onces again to "feed" them spiritually, emotionally and physically.  Changes happened to expand not to strink.
